RADM(NS) Ronnie Tay
Chief Executive Officer
Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore

RADM(NS) Tay was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) on 19 Nov 07. IDA has the roles of developing a vibrant and competitive information technology and communications industry; master-planning, project-managing and implementing various infocomm systems and capabilities for the Government as the Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO); and spearheading the transformation of key economic sectors, government and society through more sophisticated and innovative use of infocomm, which contribute to enhancing the global economic competitiveness of Singapore.

Prior to joining IDA, RADM(NS) Tay served 25 years in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), during which he held various command and staff positions in the Republic of Singapore Navy. He served as the Chief of Navy from 1 April 2003 to 31 August 2007. As Chief of Navy, RADM(NS) Tay led the transformation of the Republic of Singapore Navy into a naval force characterised by cutting-edge technologies and new fighting doctrines, and capable of a broader spectrum of operation.


Pek Yew Chai
Chairman, Singapore infocomm Technology Federation
Country Head, Siemens IT Solutions and Services

A veteran of the Information Technology industry for more than 18 years, Pek accumulated a wealth of local and international experience from various key positions he held in Singapore-based companies and multinational corporations. In his current capacity as the country head for Siemens IT Solutions and Services in Singapore, Pek is responsible for the overall sales and operations of this cross-sector business division of Siemens Pte Ltd.

Pek started his career with Singapore Computer Systems Limited (SCS) as a sales manager in 1989, and held his last position with SCS in 2003 as its President and CEO which he managed more than 2000 technical, sales and support professionals in Singapore and seven other countries in the Asia Pacific region, driving SCS’ infrastructure and Solutions business to commercial and government customers.

Pek also held position of CEO in MediaRing Ltd from 1999 to 2001. He started his career in Ministry of Defence and thereafter at SCS. Pek is the board member of IDA of Singapore, and also the chairman for SiTF.


Paul Slakey
Enterprise Director, Asia Pacific & Latin America
Google

Paul Slakey manages Google's rapidly growing enterprise business in Asia Pacific and Latin America. Prior to joining Google, Paul led Progress Software’s Enterprise Infrastructure Division in Asia Pacific and Latin America. A 20 year Silicon Valley veteran, Paul has held leadership positions in three venture-backed software companies, including Zip2, a provider of Internet business directories acquired by AltaVista and eventually merged into Yahoo. As a partner at Vanguard Ventures, Paul made early stage venture capital investments in Internet companies and served on the Board of Directors of five startup companies. Prior to that, Paul served as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He devoted the early years of his career to a variety of engineering positions with HP and IBM.


Leslie Loh
Chairman
NextVIEW Group

Mr Loh is the founder of System Access and has been its Chairman and CEO since 1983. Mr Loh played a major role in leading System Access from being a one-man outfit to a global banking software organization with 10 offices and 500 staff in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Under his leadership, System Access has received various awards and recognition in Singapore. The company’s flagship product, SYMBOLS, has received the Singapore 1998 National IT Award, Asia Pacific 2003 IT Awards (‘Special mention’) and IBS UK “Top 10” universal banking software ranking for 5 years. System Access was ranked amongst the top 50 most enterprising companies in Singapore for 4 times. 

Mr. Loh was an IDA Board Member (Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore) for 2 terms from 1999 to 2003. Mr Loh has various investments including the NextVIEW Group from Singapore where he currently serves as the Chairman of the Board.


Brian Higgins
Channel Director – Pacific
Citrix Systems Inc

Brian Higgins is the Channels Director – Pacific for Citrix Systems. Brian is responsible for driving Citrix's overall channel strategy and partner engagement, including leading the strategic development and implementation of channel plans and initiatives for Asia/Pacific. An industry veteran with 17 years of extensive experience, Brian has spent the last eleven years in the Asia/Pacific region. Prior to joining Citrix, he was Regional Director for Marketing and Channels, Asia at Cognos. In this capacity, he led a team that managed indirect business comprising of VARs, OEMs, distributors, resellers, consulting and global alliance partners. He has also held several senior roles in sales and partner management at Actuate and Business Objects.


Teong Eng Guan
General Manager
Red Hat ASEAN

Eng Guan joined Red Hat in June 2007 as the company's ASEAN General Manager to lead and grow Red Hat's business in the region. With more than a decade of sales management experience in the IT industry, Eng Guan is responsible for both short and long-term performance objectives and for driving policies and procedures that support the expansion of Red Hat's presence in ASEAN. Eng Guan also manages channel relations and ensures Red Hat employees remain at the top of their game through staff training. Prior to Red Hat, Eng Guan served as Country Manager for Avaya Singapore; where he successfully transformed the channel infrastructure and surpassed the revenue target twofold. Prior to that, he was the Singapore Sales Director at BEA Systems where he revamped the channel system through the their partner program.


Lim Seng Kong
Vice President (Global Accounts)
SingTel

Mr Lim Seng Kong is currently the Vice President for Global Accounts in SingTel’s Business Group. Under his current portfolio, he is responsible for managing the business from SingTel’s global account segment, which consists of large organizations from all industry verticals.

Seng Kong joined SingTel in November 2007. Prior to this, he was with Datacraft Asia, an IT infrastructure systems integrator. He joined the company in 1993. Together with its parent company Dimension Data, the group has an extensive global presence covering Asia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Europe and Africa. Datacraft Asia is listed on the main board of SGX in Singapore. Prior to leaving for SingTel, Seng Kong was the Regional Director for ASEAN as well as the Director for Training Services.


Jim Lenox
General Manager, ASEAN and India
VMware

Jim Lenox is the General Manager, ASEAN and India for VMware. He is responsible developing regional business strategies and managing VMware’s burgeoning virtualization business in the region’s emerging markets. Jim is also responsible for strategic partnerships and recruiting the best talents to VMware to accelerate the company’s rapid growth.

Prior to this role, Jim was the Director of Sales for Asia Pacific where he was responsible for VMware sales strategy to extend the company’s market penetration into new and existing markets. Lenox brings with him over 15 years of experience in international channel and sales management. As VMware’s first International Channel Manager, Lenox was instrumental in establishing key channel relationships in all territories outside of the US. He grew international revenue during his tenure and established VMware’s Asia Pacific presence.


Ong Whee Teck
Partner, Technology Consulting Lead, ASEAN
Accenture

Whee Teck is a partner with Accenture and has been with Accenture for over 15 years, currently leading the ASEAN Technology Consulting organisation. His group of architects covers, Enterprise Architecture, Strategic IT Effectiveness, Data Centre Technologies & Operations, Workplace Technology and Collaborations, Network and Security. He is also a core team member of the Financial Services Banking practice in ASEAN. Whee Teck has served many clients in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. He serves clients across all industry but has significant experience with financial services clients. His area of interests is in advising clients on complex large scale IT program, and how to deliver it successfully.

Frank Koo
Managing Director
Oracle Corporation Singapore

Frank Koo is the Managing Director for Oracle Corporation Singapore. In this role, he is responsible for managing the company’s operations and activities in Singapore, including long-term business development, customer care, as well as government and community relations. Prior to his current role, Frank was Managing Director for the South Asia Growth Economies, covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Since joining Oracle in 1999, Frank has held various management appointments including Regional Director of eBusiness for the South Asia region and Senior Director, Alliances and Channels for Singapore. Frank has more than 18 years of experience in the IT industry, covering business and product management, consulting, marketing, sales and channels management.


Mark Glikson
General Manager, APAC Developer and Platform Evangelism

Mark Glikson is the General Manager for Developer and Platform Evangelism, Microsoft Asia Pacific. In his current role his responsible for Microsoft’s vision and technology outreach to technical and business audiences, focusing on those individuals who make platform level build, buy and implementation decisions. This includes audiences as diverse as students/faculty in academia, technical/business professionals in ISVs/Web Agencies/Hosters and technical/business professionals in Enterprises and Web Properties. Prior to rejoining the APAC leadership team Mark spent three and half years in WW strategy and operational leadership positions at Microsoft Corp HQ in Redmond.


Andrew Leong
Regional ISV Market Development Manager
Sun Microsystems Inc

Andrew has been with Sun for 8 years in a variety of roles. His current role is a Regional ISV Market Development Manager focus on management of ISV strategic initiatives across Asia Pacific. In addition, he is also responsible in driving awareness of Sun IP offerings within rapid growth emerging markets within the APAC and building out the Sun ISV ecosystems in these markets. Prior to this role, Andrew was an Enterprise Architect and he was instrumental in providing architect blueprints to numerous major accounts. Andrew holds a MSc in Information System Engineering from the University of Manchester.

Kenny Goh
General Manager, SOA Fusion Middleware

Kenny Goh is the General Manager of Oracle SOA Fusion Middleware in ASEAN where he is responsible in propelling Oracle ASEAN SOA business on a double-digit year-on- year growth. Kenny brings with him more than 14 years of IT experience in the wireless telecommunications and enterprise software space across Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Oracle, Kenny held sales management positions with leading technology companies like IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Openwave.


Aman Dokania
Director & General Manager, Hewlett-Packard APJ Infrastructure Software BU
Hewlett Packard

Aman Dokania is responsible for HP’s Enterprise Server and Storage (ESS) Software business in Asia Pacific and Japan. The portfolio covers market leading management, virtualization and automation software.

Prior to this, Aman was responsible for developing the HP BladeSystems business in APJ and for driving a strategic HP ESS growth plan across India. Before moving to Singapore in 2004, Aman was based in the U.S., and was responsible for driving strategy for HP BladeSystems. Aman is responsible for conceiving HP’s market leading Lights-Out technology, enabling customers to truly manage and control their datacenters from anywhere and anytime. The HP Integrated Lights-Out technology has established industry leadership and is considered as a key differentiator for HP ProLiant servers. In addition with the HP iLO Advanced Pack, Aman introduced Compaq’s first ProLiant Essentials software offering and established it as the highest revenue earning software product in Compaq.


Gary Wong
Chief Architect

Gary Wong is the Chief Architect at ILOG Singapore, a leader in Business Rules Management and Optimization Software. Gary has over 13 years of experience in the IT industry with particular focus in managing, designing and implementing Enterprise Applications. Prior to joining ILOG, Gary spent several years in software engineering and consulting positions at Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. He attended the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering with First Class Honors.

Brian Prentice

Brian Prentice is a Research Vice President with Gartner’s Emerging Trends and Technologies group. His research is focuses on how information technology is evolving both our concept of and involvement in communities, and on how the changing intellectual property landscape will impact the IT industry. Finally, Brian has pioneered research into the problems with the IT industry’s current product development paradigms and how new approaches can lead to increased benefits and lower resource requirements.

Brian prior to becoming an analyst worked in the IT vendor community for 17 years. This included organizations such as Apple Computer, WordPerfect, Novell, Lotus, IBM Microsoft and Onyx Software. Mr. Prentice operated in a variety of roles including product management, partner development, and support management across North America and Asia/Pacific.

In over 15 years with IBM, Tom has worked with many customers across Asia Pacific, North America and Europe spanning the Financial Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, Public sector and Communications industries. With this wealth of experience, Tom brings particular insight to our customers by helping them design and deploy new solutions whilst addressing organizational and technical barriers to success.
